All OSAM Cohort Companies Meet For The First Time

The Catalyst Accelerator, powered by The Air Force Research Laboratory/Space Vehicles Directorate (AFRL/RV) and The United States Space Force is excited to virtually kick off their On-Orbit Servicing, Assembly, and Manufacturing cohort on Tuesday, April 27, 2021. Eight small businesses from around the world were competitively selected to be a part of this unique cohort. Captain Dalton “DJ” Hayes, Catalyst Accelerator Government Lead, stated, “We are looking forward to accelerating on-orbit servicing, assembly, and manufacturing (OSAM) starting with the eight small businesses accepted into the Spring 2021 OSAM Catalyst Accelerator. This cohort is aiming to develop the most innovative solutions for the USSF warfighter in essential mission areas such as in-space robotics, mobility and 3D printing.” Each of these incredible companies, along with the Catalyst Accelerator team, and the Corporate Sponsor, Booz Allen Hamilton, hopped on a virtual call together on April 20th to introduce themselves and their companies. This was the first time that they each discovered which companies were going to be joining them throughout the Accelerator. This call also served as a perfect opportunity to talk through the logistics of the program.

The Catalyst Accelerator team is looking forward to learning more about each one of these companies and the people that make them so unique. There are some extraordinary subject matter experts coming in next week to speak to the cohort on various topics. KiMar Gartman, Catalyst Accelerator Program Director, stated, “From the first announcement of this Accelerator theme, I have received requests from subject matter experts and others who would like to be involved in some way.  The topic of On-Orbit Servicing, Assembly, and Manufacturing is a hot one right now. I’m excited that we have some of the top companies in this field as part of Catalyst Accelerator! I’m looking forward to an incredible session.” The eight companies participating in the On-Orbit Servicing, Assembly, and Manufacturing cohort are listed below.
